RAUHANIEMI FOLK SPA

Folk spa offers to its visitors the most atmospheric sauna experience and stunning views across Näsijärvi. This spa is very dear to residents of Tampere, and locals sometimes call the place fondly “Rauhis”. Nowadays Rauhis is also a very popular tourist spot, offering traditional Finnish experiences to people from all over the world. Rauhaniemi has two traditional Finnish saunas: the bigger or the smaller one. The saunas are gender neutral, and an appropriate swimwear is required. The saunas are open every day of the year and in the winter you can go ice swimming. During summer Rauhaniemi is one of Tampere’s most popular beaches.

Saunas

Rauhaniemi spa’s saunas are warm every day of the year. You might want to visit the sauna after a beach day or maybe after a refreshing run straight from a jogging trail.

SUP-boarding

Rent a SUP-board from our summer kiosk and spend a fun day at the lake. Renting is possible during the summer season, when the kiosk is open. Price is 15€/h.

Sauna yoga

Sauna yoga is done with a small group in a warm sauna. The heat of the sauna and yoga movements relaxes your muscles and increases your metabolism. For more information about sauna yoga, visit Facebook: Saunayoga Tampereen seutu.

Beach and kiosk

Rauhaniemi beach is located in Näsijärvi’s shore. The beach has two areas for swimmers and a summer kiosk, where you can buy ice cream and other sweet and salty snacks.

Ice swimming

Rauhaniemi offers ice swimming experience at the winter. The ice hole is open around the clock so you can do ice swimming also at outside of the opening hours.

We are open every day of the year. Exceptions in opening hours will be announced in our social media, and in the current events -section. Welcome!

Please consider that Rauhaniemi closes every day at 22.30, and by that time dressing rooms should also be empty. Please leave the sauna with enough time left to shower and to get dressed before the closing time.
